Crescent State Bank Junior Bank Board

The mission of Crescent State Bank Junior Bank Board is to develop strong partnerships between high schools and financial institutions, and act as a role model for future junior bank boards. We help students develop leadership skills and teach them the fundamentals of banking and the business community, so they understand how the two work together to build strong and responsible communities. Our program instills sound, solid values committed to honesty and integrity, teaching students to take pride in creating a great team. Through education and media, our program supports Cary High School’s mission to educate responsible life-long learners who strive for excellence, think critically, practice democratic ideals and respect themselves and others. The 15-member Crescent State Bank Junior Bank Board meets monthly and is made up of eleventh and twelfth grade students from Cary High School. Meetings often feature discussions with bank executives or tours of local businesses conducted by business leaders from a variety of industries.
